When they are done decorating I collect them. When it's time to sing and dance I then pass their snowman out and ask for them to sing along and follow the instructions of the song! Students match ta (quarter note) and titi (eighth note pair) tto the text below four snowflake steady beat pictures. The snowflake steady beats are then cut out and glued on-to blue construction paper with two lines drawn (top is the pitch "sol" and bottom is the pitch "mi"). This activity allows students to improve their listening comprehension skills while listening to enjoyable winter-time songs. Simply make a photocopy of your preferred shapes for the word clouds of words contained in the songs "Vive le vent" and "Au Royaume du Bonhomme hiver" and ask students to underline or highlight the words they hear from the songs.
