Linear Inequalities Matching Activity
In this activity, students are given 12 inequalities and 12 graphs. For each inequality, students will complete a table identifying if the line is solid/dotted, shaded up/down, and the slope and y-intercept. With that information, they can then cut out the correct graph and glue it to their table, or simply identify the graph letter. A great scaffolded activity perfect for SLIFE, ESL, or SPED students.

What every math teacher has been waiting for! A complete video tutorial on how to navigate desmos, graph and cut lines (restricting domain / range), and how to make artwork in desmos! I have my students watch this video and replicate it in desmos (it requires them to pause often, sometimes rewind) so that they all produce their very own work of art in desmos, scaffolded after my example. Card Tower Getting to Know You Project
Students will work together to build a card tower out of index cards. The goal of this project is to demonstrate to students the real-world application of the 8 mathematical practices that are part of Common Core math. Instructors will use this project as a way to get to know students work ethic and habits, ability to work in groups, and ability to pair themselves.
