This assignment takes their understanding and questioning further than any other I used. If your school is like mine and doesn't even have a philosophy option, then this could serve as the one time your students are exposed to some of the ideas. I wrote this activity for students to complete in groups after they had taken notes from the attached lecture. They discuss and solve these scenarios in groups, and then share out for a class discussion. I always enjoyed hearing their insight, and I love how this activity reinforces their knowledge of the Middle Way.
