The Stroop Effect is a phenomenon that occurs when "interference" between contradicting information causes your brain to process things more slowly. For example, when you are asked to read the word "RED" written in red, it's a lot easier than reading the word "RED" written in blue.In this experiment, your students will love learning about neuroscience and psychology while recording each other's reaction times! I had an extremely difficult group of third graders last year.This essential tool will help classroom management flow easier. Take all 3 writing prompts and place them into a clear plastic protector and use colorful tape and tape to the desk. Stock the desk with writing paper and pencils. If they are chronic offenders, you could also include manilla folders to document how many times they break the rules. Post a tign "The Positive Behavioral Reflection Writing Center".
