Intro to Dash & Dot with Puzzlet
In this lesson, students are introduced to the robots, Dash and Dot, and learn how to program them using a puzzlet Playmat. First, students review vocabulary and directions. Then, students partner up to begin sorting and exploring the puzzlet tiles. Students are given programs to try together as a class, then are challenged to code their robot to reach a target.

Solving Triangles using Trigonometry-Dash and Dot Robot Activity

Circuit bug
This is a detailed powerpoint on how to guide your students to make a 'circuit' bug. A circuit bug is an electronic/craft project using LED lights, a 3V disc battery, a peg, copper wire and pipe cleaners. Once the students have created their circuit they can work creatively to make a bug/minibeast. The possibilities are endless. Rotation Calculations Based on Distance & Wheel Circumference
I used this challenge problem as a starting point to get my students to being using their math skills to solve complex problems. This problem was one that I used in an introductory robotics course. It requires students to know how wheel circumference, number of rotations, and distance traveled all work together. The practical application is used later when the students have to program their robot to travel X distance by programming the motor to rotate Y number of times.
