This is a fun activity for the sixth, seventh or eighth grade math class or special education classroom that involves a four quadrant coordinate plane. It has some half spaces represented by decimals so this may have to be pre-taught. When finished, feel free to color it however you see fit. Good for the days around Thanksgiving or for homeschooled children.

What you are purchasing is my Storyboard Graphic Organizer. It is rows of blank boxes with accompanying lines that writers can use to outline their stories visually and verbally. It is a graphic organizer that can be used to plan out personal narratives, memoirs, short stories, or comics. It's most popular with my visual learners. It pairs well with a lesson on sensory details and also can lead to a lesson on the writer's perspective. I also will have students highlight the climax of their st

2D & 3D Shapes Scavenger Hunt

I used this activity for my special education students learning about 2D & 3D objects after completing some practice notes. We went around the school and found real life examples of each shape and drew a picture (as best as they could) of the object. You could easily adapt this to just your classroom if you have all the shapes available there. This is a good hands on activity for those students that learn by doing. It works for a range of grade levels and could be combined with my 3D Shapes

This Lesson is about the story "9" a fictional, computer generated story. This story is a wonderful story for students of all ages; it contains a beautiful moral story and helps boost the passion for life in ANY age. I highly suggest using the movie with this plan. I have also added my lesson plan with the standards. It has a full story summary, questions, essay questions, plot structure questions, and multiple choice. Answer Key included!

Tessellations Project

An activity to help with teaching congruency as well as transformations to figures. You will need to take time to guide students through creating their template. I personally had students cut out their stencil from a notecard to make it easier to trace.

This is a great activity to get the kids out of their seats and moving. I usually give this assignment after I have done some videos, notes and reading so the students have a wealth of background to do this. Most of my on-level students can handle this with no problem. I know the thumbnails do not look Reconstruction-based but I promise the rest of them are. The reason those two are there is because one is of Thomas Nast who made the cartoons and the other one is an introduction to Nast's wo

The Cloning Stamp Tool does exactly what its name implies. Using this tool, you can copy a portion of an image and reapply it repeatedly to cover a different area. You can copy from one layer to another or from one image to another image to create unusual combinations. Included are two images for practice and a Rubric

This coordinate page is to be used with the 30x30 grid. The file itself is not labeled, except by number as to keep it a "surprise" among students, but when finished, this makes a pixelized version of Pikachu.

This has 111 public domain images. Most of the wolf images are color photos but a few are black and white drawings. You can enlarge or shrink the public domain images’ sizes, move the images around, etc. The images are handy for any classroom (Pre-K through higher ed) and any age or ability level but teachers of art and natural studies in science will likely regard them as being of special interest. Teachers of Pre-K students up will find them handy for using as reward stickers, for classroom d
