Following the Marzano Rubric and Scales, I have written reading skills scales for the 10 skills used in our Journeys series. I put up the scale on a chart to demonstrate my students progress throughout the week. The first page is the number 1 and 2 level of progression. The second page is 3 and 4 level of progression.

Catching Fire Part 1: The Spark Ch 1-9 Journals &Vocab
This document contains a Guided Reading Journal for each chapter (Chapters 1-9) of Part 1: The Spark in Catching Fire. The journals contain Comprehension Questions, a short antonym/synonym exercise with five of the targeted vocabulary words, and a Like/Dislike section to encourage personal connections.
