These are vocabulary cards for the building study. I used real pictures for everyone of them. I chose to do so many because a lot of the buildings can look different example barn, house, and shed. These are vocabulary cards for the recycling study. I used real pictures for most of them. I chose to do so many because I have included vocabulary cards for the books you read three time - The Paper Bag Princess, Peter's Chair, Radio Man, and The Adventures of Garry and Harry. Vowel Owl
Laminate the whole vowel page. Laminate the consonant owls and cut them out individually.
The intention of the vowel owls is put a consonant on each side of the “a” owl to create a CVC word and then slide those letters down through the vowels to read each CVC word. However, you can use the vowel owls in any way you can think of, but here are a few suggestions from ideas I have used.

K-2 FRY Words Pack: Find-Tally-Graph for first 100 words
This is a packet of Fry sight words. It includes the first 100 and then some second 100 words. There are 4 words to practice on each page. Students have to find all of the words, tally how many of each word they found, and graph how many of each word. This allows for students to see the new sight words multiple times and it helps them learn the words. This packet correlates with my other pack of sight words that I created. My students always need help spelling words that are seasonal, so I created a Word of the Day to go with each day of each month. I present each word daily and leave them up for the week. Then I put them on a ring for each month. This is an easy way for students to come and look for a word they need help spelling!
