Our Dark Past - A Black History Text
Our Dark Past is a Black History reference, designed with young people in mind. As an educator, I see the need for a Black History text that is both comprehensive and concise. This text starts with the foundations of slavery, highlights Black innovators and finishes with modern day role models like Robert F. Smith and Vice President Kamala Harris. I have included facts about pioneers like Fannie Lou Hamer, Alvin Ailey, the Buffalo Soldiers and the 'Hidden Figures' of NASA.
