STD/STI Wanted Poster
Here is a unique way to teach/introduce/to be creative with an STD (sexually transmitted disease) or STI's (sexually transmitted infection). Students can be creative and ultimately learn about the dangers of STD's/STI's.

Nervous System Poster Project
Alternative to nervous and endocrine system test - this creative culminating project has students creating a poster about the purpose/function of nervous and endocrine systems, brain parts, impulse path, function of hormones and endocrine glands. Students will also compare the central and peripheral nervous systems. Info sheet and rubric/score sheet included. Great option for differentiating! Word document can be modified for your class or specific topic requirements.
Bone Fractures Poster Activity
The handout has instructions to create an informational poster about bone fracture. It outlines what information to include in order to explain the types of fractures, the process of bone healing, and more.
Human Body Functions and System Relationships Activity
Each group of students (3-4 students), will have a system assigned to them. Protein Synthesis and Genetic Disease Poster Project
This is instructions and a rubric for a protein synthesis poster project. I usually accompany this with acting out the process of protein synthesis.
The students have to explain the process of transcription and translation and then elaborate on how the process can go wrong and lead to a problem with a protein (a genetic disease).
Cell Analogy Project
Students will gain a better understanding of the cell by comparing it to something that they know. This project is a great ending to a cell biology chapter to help students grasp a better understanding of organelles.

As we dissect the frog, students are asked to compile their pictures into a presentation to be shared with the class. They are given multiple options for their project and the rubric included is utilized for all types of projects.
