The following is an activity in which students explore various songs which were direct results and/or responses to the conflict in Vietnam. Do we benefit from slavery today, as the North did in the 1800s?
This is a powerful lesson for students to see a modern connection to the past.Before this lesson, you should discuss with students how the North was complicit in slavery as much as the South was in the years prior to the Civil War. American Revolution Parody, Henry VIII Parody, and Parody Song Project
This is the perfect activity for the hands-on history class ready to flex their creative muscles. Students will see (and hopefully hear) a parody of Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi" and Bruno Mar's "When I Was Your Man".
