Do we benefit from slavery today, as the North did in the 1800s?
This is a powerful lesson for students to see a modern connection to the past.Before this lesson, you should discuss with students how the North was complicit in slavery as much as the South was in the years prior to the Civil War. Very fun, good way to incorporate music into the classroom and to change things up!

This is the perfect activity for the hands-on history class ready to flex their creative muscles. We Didn't Start the Fire
I use this checklist for "We Didn't Start the Fire" as an introduction to the Cold War.
