Friend or Foe Garden Game: Pests and Pollinators
This is an original game I invented and used at school gardens in California and Texas - HUGE HIT! It's fun to challenge students' knowledge and INTUITION about creatures that might be found in nature and around the garden. All photos are original!

This is one of the favorites of the year for my class. We go outside and play a sophisticated game of tag. Students are assigned different goals based on these instructions. As a teacher you can simulate different conditions by changing how many students are playing which role. For example, to simulate a forest fire have only a few plants left and see what happens to the ecosystem. To simulate overhunting we have too few wolves and too many deer. Give this a try it is a lot of fun!

Climate matching game
Print out and cut up this climate matching game. Students have to first match the descriptions of the climates to the pictures. Climates include: polar, dessert, temperate, tropical, Mediterranean.
