Reusable Subsitute Art Lesson
This activity is for when you have a substitute in your art class.
It can be adapted as an art unit lesson as well.
With this lesson the students have the choice of creating one of 8 activities. If you have to have a substitute several times though out the year this lesson can be reused over and over again. The students will get to choose a new project each time they are presented with this activity.
It is a great and easy activity to go to in a quick emergency absence.

Integrated Art and Science Unit on Trees
This unit is based on nature walks to see trees on the school property or at a nearby park. Students will observe, draw, journal, and collect samples that they will later sort, categorize, identify and draw. They will later create a mixed media artwork and found poem about trees.
This sample overview of a lesson unit about trees is developed to support overall expectations in the Ontario Curriculum for Grade 3 in the Arts and Science. However it has resources to support K-8.
