In this unit, students will learn about finding unknown sides and angles in right angled triangles by using Pythagoras’ Theorem and trigonometry. Circle Geometry - Complete Lesson
In this unit, students will learn about coordinate geometry in the context of circles. They will start by finding the equation of tangents to the circle at a point by first finding the gradient of the radius and using the fact that the radius and tangent are perpendicular so their gradients multiply together to -1. After this, they will look at the equations of the circles themselves, being able to plot and recognise graphs of circle with their centre at the origin.
