This unit of work focuses on the Aboriginal Civil Rights Movement of the 20th Century. Aboriginal Dreamtime and Dot Art Project
This slide presentation explains Aboriginal Dreamtime stories and their connection to Aboriginal art. It contains lots of illustrations and links to videos of dreamtime stories. Also included are instructions and rubric for a project. In the project students write their own dreamtime story and then create dot art to go with it. A rubric is included for grading the projects. I have used this with my own class and they enjoyed it immensely.

This program was designed to cater to the needs of an Australian SSP (School for Specific Purposes) class for students who exhibit challenging behaviours. The program was written for an Australian Stage 4 class (Years 7 and 8) but could easily be adapted for younger or older students.The outcomes are from the Australian Curriculum (mainstream) with adjustments made throughout to cater for students’ highly personalised learning and behaviour needs.

Power Film Study - 'Green Book'
This resource is based on a unit of work for 'Power', involving a film study of 'Green Book'. There is a student work booklet and accompanying PowerPoint for teachers to utilise. Students complete activities to build up their background knowledge regarding the types of power and how power was executed in 1960s America and Australia. Students complete comprehension questions whilst viewing the film, and complete scene analyses after viewing the film, analysing a range of film techniques.
