I have taught Spanish for eight years to a variety of ages in both public and private settings. I have also worked teaching teachers about best practices and curriculum development in Colorado and Mexico.
I first learned the language through an immersion teaching experience post-high school (1998-1999) and now work strategically to give my students a quality learning experience through: use of comprehensible target language 90% + of the time, finding and creating backwards-planned curriculum materials, and by being a student myself of best practices for world languages.
I have worked on several curriculum development teams.

My passion in World Languages is collaborating with teachers to provide the best learning experiences for students through use of high levels of comprehensible input, authentic resources (at every performance level), and meaningful learning targets that help students make real-life connections and develop global proficiency.
