This free product is a sample rubric I use for my students' presentational speaking assessments via Flipgrid. Flipgrid is a wonderful resource for language teachers to assess students' speaking and provide students more speaking practice inside and outside of class time. Final Exam Speaking Situations
For the final assessment of their first-year language class, students will be assessed two at a time. They will speak to each other about a real-life situation. Students will not be role-playing, but rather speaking from their own point of view in each situation. Do you wish you students were more aware of the world around them? This document includes a description of "Los Eventos Actuales" (current events). I use it in my Spanish 2 honors class but it could be adapted for any language/culture. It includes a rubric as well as the ACTFL proficiency levels.
