This is a chart I use with my students to compare five major world religions-- Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism. It is meant to have the students learn the basics and be able to know the major aspects of all the religions. I included a blank copy and a completed version. Vietnam War: The Draft - Who Stays, Who Goes?
Some of the best group discussions I have ever seen came out of this assignment, which asks students to "serve" on a Vietnam-era draft board to determine who goes and who stays from 10 short, realistic bios, and defend their decisions. Students get worked up and passionate! It really helps bring the tension and frustration of a draft (and allowing exceptions to the draft) to life.
