World War 1: Causes of the war
This 2 part lesson plan utilizes online resources to explore the main causes of World War 1. The video series "The Seminal Tragedy" from Extra History is used to draw students in, engage them, and tell the story of the lead up to the war in a more personal manner. The rest of the lesson is set up to explain the big picture of the lead up to the war. This lesson defines some of key concepts needed to understand why and how World War 1 started.
