The Venetian Carnival
This is a power point I used to introduce my students to the Venetian Carnival as a "before reading" exercise to Poe's "The Cask of Amontillado". This power point helps students understand the history of the Venetian Carnival, which is the setting of the story. As a following activity, I had students make their own masks in class.
