DANCESPORT level 2
Dancesport (level 2) contains exercises which combine dance and sport movements. The steps are appropriate for any mobile youngster and provide a different approach to physical fitness. This lesson is a little more advanced than the first Dancesport featured, but it is not difficult to master even for the kinderdancer. Adding some lively music of your choice will create a fun experience while developing coordination and physical aptitude. This lesson is about 1 1/3 pages.

African American Dance and the Slave Trade
Students can use the provided links to investigate questions which explore the topic of African American Dance during the slave trade and its continued influence on pop-culture. A great assignment to help illustrate African influence during the colonial period of US history, reveal the atrocities committed in the slave trade through a cultural lens, and demonstrate to students the owed legacy to African American heritage of the pop culture they experience daily.
