Students will create a VISUAL DISPLAY (drawing, model, or Google Slides) of a CASTLE or MANOR in Middle Ages Europe. This project is usually assigned on a Monday and completed by that Friday. Throughout the classroom sessions during the week, we learn about manorial life and specifically look at the social relationships in feudal society. Students use all our classroom activities (videos, role playing, vocabulary, close readings, etc) to complete their project.

This project is so fun! The kids absolutely love it! It covers Medieval Europe, and role play is conducted each class period. It also motivates the students to do their homework because if they do not then they will be demoted to a peasant and have to do stuff other students tell them to do (as long as its appropriate).
