Positive reinforcement works wonders when dealing with difficult behaviors. Use this tally system checklist to praise and reinforce the good! Students can earn a tally for exhibiting the desired behaviors and get a reward after meeting a set goal. Start small and attainable to have the student earn the reward for at least a week before increasing the expectations/goal. Older students can use this as self-monitoring and be checked by the teacher.
