Astronomy Planet Project
Students love to do this project with my Astronomy unit! They tap into their creative side by making a model of a planet (drawing, Google Slide presentation, clay model, painting, poster, etc). Students must present the info specified for the project (weather, precipitation, how far from the sun, how far from Earth, etc.). This usually takes 1-2 weeks to complete depending on your school schedule. Rubric is included!

For this project, students will research a planet in our Solar System, collect information on the environmental conditions of the planet, and then design an idea for an alien life form that could survive in these conditions. This is a great way to engage students in creative and critical thinking as they design their alien's adaptations, and the project works well for both Earth & Space and Environmental Science courses.
