Book tastings are a fun and engaging way to get kids to try new books! I used this as an after-school activity but it could easily be used in a reading class or any class where a book is being picked. We dressed up as waitresses and gave students this menu. We had the books preselected on a cart. Students can circle what books they want and then put their order in. It is used as a "quick jot" so that they just need to note the page number, placement on page, and reason for marking.
