This packet teaches students how to search effectively online. I walks through why to use special characters when searching as well as how to narrow search results effectively. Students have opportunities to compare results from various search engines. There are tips for effective online research to yield the most relevant results. There are also pages dedicated to the actual research that will help students to identify information that will be needed when creating bibliography/ reference pages.

Claim, Evidence, and Reasoning Template - EDITABLE
This .doc file contains an editable claim, evidence, and reasoning template that I use in my Biology classes. This template is written in language that can apply to any discipline where constructing an argument is a necessary skill. It uses the CER (Claim Evidence Reasoning) template commonly employed for making scientific arguments.
