Factor Label Method / Dimensional Analysis Graphic Organizer Worksheet
Here is a worksheet that I used extensively to help students learn how to use the factor label method (or dimensional analysis).
It can be used for non-chemistry unit conversions.
It is a great scaffolding worksheet. And students love the shapes. I used this in conjunction with the mneumonic "Got Cravings For Skipping."
"Got" stands for the "Given" of the problem, "Cravings For" stands for the appropriate "Conversion Factor(s)" and "Skipping" stands for "Solving" at the end.

Metric Conversions Flip Chart
This is a SUPER Awesome tool for your kids (and yourself) to use!! It is kind of hard to print, but I had to do it this way in order for me to get it on one document. Printing Instructions: Print page 1. Using the same paper (I used cardstock), place paper backwards so it will print the second page correctly on the back side of page 1.
