As a teacher it is important to differentiate groups based from different criteria. I differentiate groups by readiness (knowledge level), Modality (Learning Style) and Personality. This is a really fun assignment that I made last year, and my kids LOVED it! I will send them their completed packet 5 years from when they wrote it! I did a similar assignment as a sophomore in HS, and it was so COOL to read what I wrote 5 years before! It's something they'll save forever!

Back To School Activity - Textbook Scavenger Hunt
A great activity for those not sure how to use textbooks. I have created a textbook scavenger hunt worksheet so my students can get used to using the larger high school science textbooks. Helps them find and use the index, glossary and Table of contents. Helps them identify extra sections added to the book.

Student self reflection and Goal Setting Form (Progress Update)
I use this as a way to conference with my students half way through each term. Parents love the idea of getting more than a blurb from a regular progress report. Administration loves the idea of student goal setting, self reflection and communication.
