I really struggled to get my kids to write in the humanities subjects with a claim, evidence, & reasoning. However, once I was able to break this down into a graphic organizer and scale it back up into an essay, I saw immense results! These have been incredibly valuable to my learners, as it gives them the scaffolds they need while still holding them accountable for the content. After several months of practice, my student have really started to understand how to write within the humanities content area!

This set prompts students to write a full, 5 paragraph essay. Everything is given to you in word, so you may adjust as needed!

All of these documents have also been made Google Doc’s friendly, which can be accessed once purchased. The Google Doc's version is slightly modified to better work with the function of Google Classroom :)
