Starting your own school newspaper isn't difficult. I've run (and created) our school newspaper for three years. This document has most of the materials you'll need for set-up. The newspaper club in my school was open to fifth grade students and printed copies were distributed in the school to faulty, staff, classroom libraries, school common areas, and to the newspaper club members. Our newspaper is usually 12 pages long and we use Microsoft Publisher to create it.

Cereal Box Biography Project - Black History Month or any biography
This is a Black History Biography project which required my students to create a new cereal based on the life on a famous African American. The students had to design a cereal box to tell the story of the person they chose. They had to include things like a cereal name that relates to the person, a picture of the person, a timeline of the person's life, character traits of the person, and a written report of the biography they read about the person.
