This is a quick and simple voice warm up I use for reinforcing pitch icons. There are purposefully no sound files, so you can change the intervals and key to fit your lesson. Each page has a short 3-5 note melody that you can assign syllables to or sing on "la." I love using season-specific icons to keep it fresh. Here is my fall version. I hope you enjoy! If you do, please leave me a positive review! Thanks! Megan You may also like: Beethoven Trivia Game Music Detective Game Bundle Music Det

I hope you will get lots of mileage out of this little gem. This is a simple, delightful song I learned years ago in my first Kodaly certification course. I teach this tune (the fall verse) to K-2 children in late September and revisit it as the seasons change, moving from a singing game (hiding and finding a fake bird or flower) and rhythm exploration (mapping with silk leaves) to iconic notation and composition activities, depending on students' readiness. The children enjoy creating new lyri

Here's a quick little song to help your children understand the tripod grip. So many students come to school with incorrect and/or weak grips. This is a difficult thing to overcome, especially if they have been to preschool and have been practicing the wrong grip for quite a while. We use this song at the beginning of handwriting lessons, writer's workshop, and activity involving writing.
