FOODIE FRIDAY
FOODIE FRIDAY is where students get the opportunity to show off their cooking skills by presenting their favorite recipe to the class. The goal is for students to teach the class culinary skills and then everyone gets a taste of the final product. In my class is what we do every Friday. Students sign up for a friday and they once a semester. While the student is cooking for the class students listen and write down the recipe then at the end of the year they have a recipe cook book. All members of FCCLA are to learn about the student organization through the activity called Step One. In Utah, the state standards and objectives say that all students who enroll in a FACS class are basic members of FCCLA and must complete the Step One to get activity. After students complete a wellness self-assessment and the Dimensions of Wellness Wheel Activity, they will discuss their wellness wheels with eight classmates. Using this sheet, the students will use it as a script to ask other students questions and have a conversation about their overall wellness.
