Housing Project a la House Hunters International
- Word Document File
Description
This was the final product for our housing unit. We watched an episode of House Hunters International, and then students had to compete in House Hunters International and create a presentation that they would present to our fictional family.
Students worked in teams of three. In the unit we had learned about different types of houses (single-family, duplex, apartment, condo,...), we had learned about the different rooms in the house, and we had learned about basic furniture and adjectives to describe the furniture (comfortable, chic, modern...). The grammatical focus had been on the dative of location. E.g. "The lamp is on the table". All this was incorporated in this four class project (class 4 was presentation day). This could be adapted to all foreign languages. Minor vocabulary changes would have to be done, but entire project is written in English.
