TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have entered into my 17th year teaching German. I am currently in my 8th year (2023/24 school year) at the district I am at. I have been at 4 different school districts and 6 different schools. I teach freshmen through seniors, German 1 through German 4. I have taught through a variety of teaching trends including Proficiency Based Grading and Scales. My material is German based - but can obviously be switched to fit any language.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Teacher Guiding, Student Doing. Relationships with students are the best way to manage classroom behavior. I do teach explicit grammar at some points in the years.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I lived in Germany from 2002-2003 with the Congress Bundestag Program. I went to the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign and graduated in 2007. I have finished my Curriculum and Instruction Masters Degree and will be getting my Admin Degree in the next few years.
