Building Bridges, Building with a Variety of Materials
This is a Notebook lesson consisting of approx. 36 slides. It contains short student notes on five different types of bridges, beam, truss, arch, cantilever, and suspension. For all but the cantilever bridge there are challenges for the students which consist of four projects using materials like spaghetti, marshmallows, toothpicks, sugar cubes, string and paper. Moon Phases Project
This project allows students to have a excellent model to view the moon phases. Once complete can be used as a science center.
Supplies Needed: square piece of cardboard, moon phases template, golf ball or ping pong ball, markers, and star stickers.
Step 1: Cut the template out and glue to the piece of cardboard.
