Theme Lesson Plan (Narrative Elements)
This interactive whiteboard lesson introduces intermediate students to finding the theme from short passages. It explicitly lays out the steps to easily find the message or theme in a given story. There are three example passages that can be done as a whole class to practice the concept. I created this lesson for my principal observation and it was very successful.

It was originally created for a 3rd grade class and covers Common Core ELA Standards:

Learning how to read a clock and the parts of the clock
This notebook presentation simplifies the concept of learning basic parts of a clock and how to tell time. It compares the hour hand and the minute hand and uses pictures to make the presentation funny as well. It introduced the concept of the "danger zone," a concept I always use with my students.
