This is a 4 lesson mini-unit for general music class. The students are asked to create a short commercial advertising a newly invented product, and compose a short "jingle" to advertise the product. Students perform the commercial in class or video record their project outside of class and the class views the recording.

Graphic Notation Project using SeeSaw.me
This is a great assignment to collaborate with your art teacher on! Have the kids create a painting or sketch in art class, and then use the piece of art as 'sheet music'! For example: What do reds mean- loud or soft? What should a smooth blue ocean sound like? Do your short choppy lines mean fast or slow tempo?
Also pair this with some background of artist Kandinsky, and synethesia (seeing music with colors.)
