Homework Expectations Letter
With the new standards and Engage NY/Eureka Math curriculum I have had many concerned/angry parent emails. Math teachers get all the complaints! This Expectations letter helps parents and students understand their role when doing homework. It also has a whole page of online resources that I use with my families. I left it as a publisher file to be fully editable.

This product includes a publisher file with two pamphlets. One is a pamphlet convincing its reader to become a patriot during revolutionary times. Eacher chapter identifies 4 academic and content vocabulary words that students need to infer their meaning based on how the word was used in the chapter. The First Red Scare "Dot" Game
Randomly hand out the cards* after you have printed out in color and cut out (I printed them out on cardstock paper to make them not so see-through). Remind students to not show anyone their card or better, put the cards in their pockets. Then they must go around and try to figure out which of their classmates are "communists" or red dot cardholders.
