Homework Expectations Letter
With the new standards and Engage NY/Eureka Math curriculum I have had many concerned/angry parent emails. Math teachers get all the complaints! This Expectations letter helps parents and students understand their role when doing homework. It also has a whole page of online resources that I use with my families. I left it as a publisher file to be fully editable.

Treble Clef Pitch Board Game
This game was designed for my students to practice pitch reading. You will need a dice and game piece. I have used this board with k-12 but I am sure you could use it with adults. This does not teach pitch just allowes for practice. Can be put on overhead and played with teams in class.

I take mine to a print shop (Fed Ex, Kinkos, Office Max, etc.) and have it printed and mounted on foamboard, making for a poster that you can use for many years to come. Students can work alone or with a partner to create spooky rhythms. They can perform them for their class! Students need to think of something having to do with Halloween (skull, bat, skeleton, jack-o-lantern) and think of the rhythm it makes (ex- "skull" = quarter note).
