Chapter Summary Worksheet
This is a great strategy for working on main idea and sentence expansion. You can target reading comprehension and writing at the same time. It also helps students who struggle to hone in on the information that is most important, which is so important for students with ADD. This strategy can be used with students in elementary school all the way through high school.

This is an iINCOMPLETE unit for the entire strand 1 second grade SEEd standard (which also follows Next Generation Science Standards.) Letter Writing Self Check
This checklist helps student make sure they are including all parts of a letter. Students can use this checklist to write a letter to a teacher or friend about a book they have read. I have students glue this checklist in the front cover of their Daily 5 journals so they can refer to it at the end of each week.
