Budgeting and Meal Planning
This activity encourages it's users to be creative, budget, take personal and dietary needs into consideration. Young adults, have trouble thinking about others and planning ahead. This activity encourages youth to do both of these.
The user is given a budget, items with prices and friends with dietary preferences and needs. After the user chooses meal plan, he or she must then answer comprehension and critical thinking questions about diet, budgeting, and personal choices.

Calculating Salaries & Budget
For this assignment students will research the annual or hourly pay of 5 jobs and 5 careers. Using this information they will calculate the weekly, monthly, and annual pay for each position.Students will then use this information to calculate a monthly budget. Students will pick one job and one career from the list above and fill in the chat below to calculate a typical monthly budget based on income.

Introduction to the Stock Market Research Graphic Organizer
This graphic organizer is open ended and allows students to investigate stocks of their choice and introduces them to the idea of gain and loss. It also introduces them to Market Capitalization and allows them to discover the difference between Large-Cap, Mid-Cap, and Small-Cap stocks. While I use this as an introduction and discovery activity, you could use this at the middle of a unit or an extension activity as well.

How to Sew Fabric Face Masks
Here's a quick How-To guide I created for fabric face masks. Might be a fun learning opportunity to do at home during COVID-19 pandemic. Recipe Round Up- Thanksgiving
I assign the first half of this assignment about a week before Thanksgiving. Students would locate a recipe for homework, write why they chose it, and bring it to class. Two sets of instructions on each handout- cut in half and save paper.
Then, the few days before Thanksgiving (when students tend to be absent or lose focus because they are excited for the holiday), I would have the students illustrate a comic of the recipe's directions. Using a legal sized sheet of blank paper, students would
