This assignment is a set of 8 response questions for a paired reading of "Mother to Son" poem by Langston Hughes and "Dear Mama" song by Tupac Shakur. Poem and song lyrics are not included due to copyright restrictions, but can easily be found online.

5 Little Monkeys Jumping On The Bed is one of my favorite rhymes! I laminated many of the pieces and am using on a velcro board. I love modifying books and rhymes just to add a little change - I have added band aids to this rhyme. When monkey bumps his head, he could say OUCH and need a band aid!
