Probability Game for SmartBoard
This is a simple, fun, SmartBoard game you can play with your students to teach them about probability. The game fits in with the current Ohio Academic Content Standards for 3rd grade. Students take turns coming up to the board and rolling a large die with various pictures on the sides. At their seats, students tally the number of times certain pictures appear. After 20-30 rolls, students can use the data they collected to make a prediction about how many sides of the die have a certain picture.

Swat the Answer-addition fact game
Swat the Answer is a game for the whole classroom, or a small group. Two players stand on either side of the board with a fly swatter in their hands. The teacher will read an addition problem from a set of flashcards (answers 0-20) and the student to swat the answer first wins. The loser picks a new student from the crowd to take their place. Centers/Stations Template
This is a very handy organizer and visual to use when doing centers in your classroom. I got the idea from my mentoring teacher and brought it to my classroom last year. Since ELA is such a complex class and often concentrated to fit the 90 minute time frame, I break my centers up into 3 days. That allows the students to get more time in each center. I spend the last 30 minutes of class doing 2 rounds of 15 minutes, but you can set the timer as you please.
