I used this in teaching CC.1.RL.6 for my first graders.
The first slide has an ebook to go along with it. It can be used to introduce characters and using clues to find out who is telling a story.

Writing Process + Stage Tracking
This is a Notebook file that describes the 5 stages of writing in student friendly terms. The stages included are:

3. Revising - with A.R.M.S. acronym

China: A Love Story
This is a fictional story about ancient China. Through a love story, students will learn/review important inventions, architecture, and written language from ancient China. Land features and climate are also brought into the story. I have used this story in my own 2nd grade classroom resulting in a 100% pass rate for students on ancient China assessments! This has also been used by 3-5 grades for review for SOL testing.
