Types of Cloud foldable

I have created the template for a foldable about the basic types of clouds. You can personalize it on the inside. Students can write about the weather associated with each cloud type, or even make the foldable into a chart, and log the types of clouds each day for a unit. There are endless possibilities! It is formatted so that you can print the foldable and fold it in half. Then the students can cut the lines between each cloud type on the top layer, opening each tab for information underneath!

In an effort to make high quality educational material more accessible to parents and teachers alike, regardless of location and/or socioeconomic status, I have decided to post lessons I create on here for FREE. The products I make consist mostly of Google Slides in PDF format for K-8th grade students. They cover a wide range of subject matter, but focus mainly on math and language development. Each lesson is created with the intention of keeping students attentive and actively engaged by using

Read The Skies: Clouds and Weather at Sea

NAMEPA
In this lesson, students will learn how to identify different types of clouds, and make a model of each type using cotton balls on a poster board. Students will learn how recognizing cloud types can help them make predictions about the short-term weather, and how this ability is useful to mariners who must be able to make decisions about safety based on environmental observations. Students will then use the charts/posters they have made to identify cloud types outside in the sky!

This lesson is a great visual for understanding how ocean acidification impacts seashells and the animals that create shells. This can be easily adapted for younger students by simplifying the science and strongly focusing on the visual components.

Waste reduction and prevention is essential in mitigating marine debris. However, action needs to be taken to address the trash that has already accumulated in our oceans. To Help you Quit Quitting-Guide for passing

I developed this "guide" when I recognized my previous school shifted to mastery learning students were struggling with submitting evidence of their learning. This "guide" uses the lowest DOK questions from the original assignment for students to be able to meet the minimum amount of evidence that can be scored in the grade book. In my case I use a 10/10 scale, so a 6/10 a D (passing). This will help those students who struggle with keeping up with assignments or who struggle with attendance. Cu

In this lesson, students make observations about what is in their classroom trash receptacle (or various trash items brought by instructor). Students then go outside to collect trash from the surrounding area and record what they find using the NAMEPA Trash Data form. The class then looks at the data they have collected and makes inferences about sources, origins and most common types of marine debris. This is a great lesson to do in a coastal area or near a waterway!
