I included colored printouts, as well as black and white, so you can print the words on yellow card stock paper. I've created a handy-dandy set of posters (clear and easy to read once enlarged) that tell what summaries, paraphrasing, and retellings are and what they are not. Teaching students to write effective conclusion paragraphs can be difficult for elementary students. The TPT process has worked well for me through the years and can be adapted at any level. You are simply teaching students to TRANSITION, restate their PURPOSE, and finish with any final THOUGHTS. I have typically used this TPT Process with opinion and informative writing.
