This project is designed to go with the events/causes leading up to the American Revolution. Along with the directions is a rubric I designed that was formed for this project. The students are to design a creative propaganda poster depicting one of the key events/causes of the American Revolution to try and persuade an audience of what occurred. Use your knowledge of propaganda during the Revolution to assist you in explaining this to the students.

Latin Language Project - States' Mottos
Assignment: Twenty-three of our fifty states have Latin mottoes! For this project, students are to read the Latin mottos of the states that have them. Students must pick one state from the list and draw that state’s flag on computer paper, adding the state’s Latin motto to the flag!This product comes with a downloadable word document with a list of all the states that have Latin mottos. Civil War Quilt Activity

Cumulative social studies project 5th grade
This project is designed to help students review important 5th grade social studies concepts at the end of the year. The projects can be divided up so that each group is in charge of a particular unit where they complete a poster to present to the class. Another idea is to give students enough time to complete all of the projects with their group. I had students present their project while their classmates took notes. I then let students do a poster "time walk" where they could read each poster.
