I use this as an introduction to a unit on waves and wave energy. It introduces students to the two types of waves (transverse and Compression) and takes them on a tour of websites that helps them to understand wave characteristics and also subtopics such as sound waves, light waves, and EM waves. It serves to give students some background to what a wave is, and different forms of wave energy.
