Film Studies - Camera Angles (Middle School Edition)
Middle School-appropriate version of my popular Film Studies course. Revised and revamped to meet the needs of 6-9 teachers. Film clips chosen with the middle school student in mind. Alamo Reader's Theatre
This Reader's Theatre covers the history of the famous battle at the Alamo in Texas. There are 14 characters including five Narrators, Santa Anna,Davie Crockett, Sam Houston, and Stephen Austin. This fits perfectly with a study of the Southwest Region of the United States and works with 4th-6th grade students. With smaller classrooms, parts can be combined to fit your needs. It is a total of eight pages long, and takes approximately 10 minutes to peform.

Phone Sanitation Experiment

Using fresh bread, a phone, and a ziplock bag, and in a week you can create a nice visual of how truly unsanitary it is to have or use your phones in the kitchens. Stress Management with Art Lesson Plan
Many students become overwhelmed with increasingly difficult tasks in school, especially in Special Education settings. Since stress management is not usually taught as a subject, most students are not coached how to handle stress. This plan gives students an outlet, through art, to help themselves recover from a stressful event. Super Hero Challenge
This is an interactive Microsoft Power Point Slide Show with a Super Hero Theme. I have used it for Super Hero Field Days in PE. You can display the slide show on a large wall and students stand in front of the screen so that their shadow is put on to the screen. Planning a Healthy Meal and Shopping Template (Special Education)
This is a meal planning guide that incorporates the 5 basic food groups. Students will use a cookbook to decide on the main course of the meal, and from there will add on side dishes to help balance the food groups presented in the meal. Students will then make a shopping list of the needed materials. If applicable, they can shop for the food items at the store, working to find the total cost of purchase, use the "dollar up" method to pay, and calculate the amount of change they should get back.
